Description

Yields 12 sliders

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb. lean (93/7) ground beef
  • ¼ cup Pinehurst Olive Oil Co. Wood Smoked Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 1 1/2 tsp. Beautiful Briny Campfire Sea Salt (Sold in store!)
  • 1 Onion, cut into strips
  • 23 T Pinehurst Olive Oil Co. Wood Smoked Olive Oil
  • 1 Cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • 12 count Hawaiian Rolls

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Mix ground beef, ½ tsp pepper, 1 tsp. Beautiful Briny Campfire Sea Salt, ¼ Cup Wood Smoked Olive Oil, and 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  3. Press into 9 x 13 pan
  4. Bake for 15 minutes
  5. While beef is cooking, heat 2-3 T Wood Smoked Olive Oil in a skillet and sauté onion with ½ tsp. pepper and ½ tsp. Beautiful Briny Campfire Sea Salt, until caramelized. The goal is to have soft, and browned onions to really take on the smoky flavor, so do not rush this stage!
  6. Slice Hawaiian rolls in half, keeping the 12 together in a rectangle.
  7. Add Hamburger patty, 1 cup of mozzarella cheese and caramelized onions, then top with the other half of the bread.
  8. Brush tops of rolls with Olive Wood Smoked Olive Oil
  9. Return to oven at 350 degrees for 5 minutes, or until cheese is melted and sandwich is warm.
  10. Slice into 12 sliders and enjoy!
